STYLED LAKE-SIDE ELOPEMENT | SAN MORITZ LODGE - CRESTLINE, CA

When I got my hands on a Chotronette gown I knew I had to plan something spectactular to do this gown justice. The beautiful multi-blue tone dress features a tulle bottom, with an illusion mesh, off-the-shoulder top covered in blue floral appliqués and rhinestones. This needed to be an elopement due to its fun and non-traditional aesthetic. The blue inspired me to head for the mountains and find a lake with a row-boat! San Moritz Lodge is nestled in a small town called Crestline in Southern California. One of my favorite things about Southern California is all it’s versatility in such a short radius! The lodge sits on Lake Gregory surrounded by pine trees and fall changed leaves. My favorite florist ever, Allyson of Love Sparrows, is local to the area which helped so much in the planning process. For several months we slowly brought our vision to life with many late night conversations and pictures. I was lucky enough to have details provided by one of my favorite calligrapher’s, Jackie of Jackie Chen Design. She is also a vendor local to Southern California! It’s amazing what a few details can do to bring a vision to life and to complement a shoot (or actual wedding of course!). I can't emphasize enough how important it is to think of the little details on your own special day! A cake was provided by Tasteful Cakes, and a suit by Friars Tux/Stitch&Tie.

The couple was amazing to make the trek to me ALL THE WAY FROM ARIZONA. They were truly one of the best couples to have worked with both leading up to and day of, so thank you sweet friends for being such incredible people and helping bring my vision to life! Truly couldn’t have done it without you!

I am so proud of how this styled shoot turned out, I like to keep them simple so it was such a peaceful and easy day. I have such a strong love for putting together things like this, that I have now started joking about becoming a “Bridal Assistant” to help put all the pretty details together for client’s big days!
